[Demetrios Hatzi Polyzoes]. Σφάλματα τὰ κατ᾽ Ἄγνοιαν..., Vienna, Josef Baumeister, 1791.
Polyzoes, born in a village of Agrapha, was an eccentric figure in the world of letters and definitely of publishing. He brought out this pamphlet to publicize the mishandling he had suffered from the printer Breitkopf and to denounce the errors the latter committed because he was ignorant of the rules of Greek grammar. A few months earlier Polyzoes had printed a pamphlet at Breitkopf’s with the title Ekdikesis Dikeotate which, when it circulated, was crammed with errors and omissions in relation to the manuscript, while moreover imaginary additions had slipped in. All of this was due to Breitkopf’s refusal to edit the publication personally.
